Glenn E. Hawkins, Evangelist

Fornication is a word you don’t hear used very much.  Other expressions have taken its place to try to lessen the force of what it really is.  In the New Testament, “fornication” comes from a Greek word which means ‘every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse.’  It can refer specifically to the act, generally by an unmarried person, or generally to all illicit sex, including adultery and homosexuality.  Sexual intercourse can only be fulfilled in marriage.  Otherwise, it is sin.  Hebrews 13:4 says, “Let marriage be had in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.”   (more next week)
