BAPTISM AND THE BLOOD OF CHRIST 
Most every person who considers himself a Christian acknowledges that the blood of Jesus Christ is the cleansing agent from sin. What most people do not understand is at what point in the conversion process the blood of Christ is applied to the individual. Believe it or not, there is a vital connection between baptism and the blood of Christ.
We note, first of all, that salvation is "in" Christ (2 Timothy 2:10). To be saved, one must be "in Christ." Paul wrote to the Galatians in chapter 3:27, "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ." Hence, before baptism, one is "out" of Christ and after baptism, one is "in" Christ. It is evident that both baptism and the blood are essential. (more next week)
