TRUTH FOR TODAY
Glenn E. Hawkins, Evangelist
HE IS RISEN!
The evidence says Jesus arose from the dead on the first day of the week following His death and burial. The eyewitnesses to His resurrection are impressive in number. The women saw Him first, then Peter, then the twelve, then the 500 at one time, then His half-brother James (an unbeliever at first), then Paul (a bitter opponent of Christianity at first). Even His enemies knew the tomb was empty. Jesus arose and was “declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead” (Romans 1:4).
